The Laboratory Assistant I role at AdventHealth involves performing various laboratory procedures, including cytopreparatory staining, setting up primary specimen cultures, and cleaning/disinfecting equipment and spaces. The individual must have knowledge of anatomy and be able to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and customers.Responsibilities
- May perform cytopreparatory staining and accessions surgical cases with knowledge of anatomy.
- May receive and set up primary specimen cultures, inoculating petri dishes for bacterial growth.
