Title :Quality Mechanical Inspector

Duration : 6+ months – contract to hire role

Location : Woburn, MA

Position Overview:

• Tasked with performing mechanical inspections on a diverse range of products, utilizing standard measuring instruments to ensure compliance with both customer and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct standardized, routine inspections at various stages (first piece, incoming, in-process, final) for standard components and products under close supervision.
• Visually inspect and validate parts using direct reading and adjustable gauges, meticulously following blueprints or specified processes, under close oversight. Generate necessary quality control documentation.
• Utilize basic measuring tools such as scales, verniers, height sticks, micrometers, and plug gauges.
• Accurately maintain inspection reports.
• May conduct production testing as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the work area and with equipment.
• Perform other assigned tasks as instructed.
• Communicate quality concerns with Inspection and Production Supervisor, particularly regarding vendor-supplied products.
