- Ensures compliance with and adherence to applicable codes, ordinances, building and safety standards pertaining to ammonia refrigeration, wastewater, boiler, HVAC, water filtration, and utility equipment/systems.
- Cross trains and performs general and preventive system, equipment and facility maintenance activities and responds to trouble calls.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and service.
- Works to conserve organizational resources and stay within approved budget.
- Maintains working knowledge of new technologies and regulations and strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others.
- Completes equipment logs/reports in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
- Assists in developing and maintaining comprehensive hazardous material and spill prevention programs.
- Recognizes dangerous and emergency conditions within the process and performs procedures necessary to remove the condition, shut down the process/facility and/or initiate emergency evacuation and notification procedures.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decision making process.
- Follows policies and procedures and observes safety and security procedures. Uses equipment and materials properly and reports potentially unsafe conditions.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- May work long hours of work to reach goals, including weekend work as needed.
