Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician focusing on Field and Plant activities to join our team at our Waialua, Hawaii. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year.     What You'll Do:

    • Perform plant and field operations.
    • Field activities such as planting, irrigation, and field scouting.
    • Plant activities such as preparation, husk & sort, drying, shelling and boxing.
    • Gathering data for continuous improvement projects.
    • Operate farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and utility vehicles.
    • Various other duties as assigned. .

    Qualifications

    What Skills You Need:

    • Education: You have your High School Diploma/GED OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within 1 year of hire as a condition of employment.
    • You enjoy working in a varying environment.
    • When there is a problem, you see an exciting opportunity to troubleshoot so you can find and implement solutions
    • You value health and safety You always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures, so you and your colleagues go home safely everyday.
    • You have a valid driver's license so you can drive a company vehicle when needed.
    • Heights above 25 feet? No problem You are willing and able to work on elevated surfaces (with fall protection equipment, of course, because safety is always number one to you).
    • You know how to schedule work/jobs and you do a great job of following-up on completion status.
    • Chilly warehouse? Dusty fields? No problem You love to get out there and be in the heart of operations with your team and work hard
    • You always are willing to help and physical work isn't a problem for you...Passing by a team member struggling to lift something? Safety is your top priority, and you are willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation to help your colleague and/or perform necessary job tasks
    • You value serving your customers and know operations must be supported for optimal uptime, so you are willing and able to work hours required of this role to achieve that mission; overtime hours, including weekend work during our seasonal peaks.

    What Makes You Stand Out:

    • Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.
    • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Continuous Improvement.
    • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Computer aptitude including use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • Truck and forklift driving skills.
    • Quality Control, or Quality Operations Experience.

    Salary:

    The salary range for this position is $27.02 to $37.48 hourly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted hourly amount for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual hourly wage is determined when an employment offer is made.

    This positions is required to work in office 5 days a week.
