- Directs activities of assigned Grinding, Lapping and polishing machine manufacturing projects to achieve milestone objectives within established budget and timetable.
- Oversee production employees, maintain production schedule and track/report labor hours.
- Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM) for current products and work with the design engineering team to ensure that all drawings and material specifications are up to date.
- Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to manage supply chain concerns.
- Assist manufacturing and assembly teams by documenting procedures and problem solving when needed to improve methods for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Work with process technicians and production crew to conduct machine runoff / factory automation test.
- Provide relevant inputs to future product designs based on experience, observations, research, customer requirements, materials knowledge, and engineering perspective.
- Work with vendors to confirm and document product quality.
- Improve upon current product designs by reducing cost and increasing reliability when feasible.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure products meet business objectives and compliance standards.
- Assist with resolution of customer issues (field and virtual support) and special requests.
- Recommend new standards and policies.
- Other duties as may be reasonably assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in machine tools or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
- Computer literate and proficient in use of Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Detail oriented, have excellent problem solving skills,and be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

Job Description
This role of Manufacturing Engineer involves a combination of engineering skills, attention to detail, communication, and the ability to coordinate tasks across multiple departments in a machine tool manufacturing organization. This individual will be required to coordinate among the engineering, production, Sales and procurement teams on a regular basis to maintain accurate documentation, solve manufacturing issues, resolve supply chain concerns, and provide inputs to new product designs. Requirements include a minimum of a B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field of study, and 3+ years of relevant experience with machine tools or semiconductor wafer processing equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, especially when interacting with customers.
