    Under the direct supervision of the Multi-site Director of Food Services manages day-to-day operations of the food service department to achieve high quality food delivery & customer service in food service department at all Berkshire Medical Center campuses.
    • Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to resident/patient nutrition care and food service complying with the standards established by Berkshire Health Systems, regulatory agencies and client.
    • Leads supervisors, diet technicians and patient service staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care. Level of impact is within own operation.
    • Provides oversight of diet office software menu systems and successful interface of the menu system with food production and service.
    • Acts on behalf of the organization, managing supervisors and staff to ensure that menu/meal service is provided for all patients as a level consistent with department standards.
    • Approves time off, vacation and weekly payroll for all foodservice staff

    Other Requirements (Include but not limited to):
    • Training or ability to train and manage dietary office systems required.
    • Viewed as a role model for professionalism.
    • Ability to interpret and administer standards and policies. Demonstrated leadership ability, communication of a strong work ethic and commitment toward excellence in the food service profession.
    • Excellent communication skills; communicates effectively with patients, family members, staff and any other customer.
    • Well organized and able to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
    • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory standards.
    • Demonstrated dependability. Effectiveness in confronting problems and resolving conflict.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, manager, director and other staff.
    • Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative and flexibility to provide role model leadership daily
    Non-Billable Orientation: 8hrs

    Requirement description :
    • 2 yrs current nutrition/food service SUPERVISORY or Leadership experience
    • High school diploma required
    • Food service management education from an accredited program preferred
    • Medical terminology course completion preferred

    Weekend Requirements : Every other Weekend/Holidays required if needed
