    Job Summary


    In this role as a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for assisting with daily production and scheduling, as well as setting up and operating both CNC and conventional machines.

    You will work with a variety of materials and components, and perform special setups for customer projects.

    Job Responsibilities

    Read, interpret, and accurately analyze blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpieces or parts, sequences of operations, and setup requirements.

    Create, adjust, or modify CNC programs manually or with Computer Aided Machining software (CAM).
    Measure, mark, and confirm specification dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining.

    Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and drill presses.

    Calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining factors such as speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

    Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions, collisions of machine or tools, out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required.

    Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications through drawings, specifications, fit or function of a part, or measurement using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, go-no-go gauges, and other equipment as trained or assigned.

    Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data to avoid crashes of machines, tools, or material.

    Education & Experience
    Associates degree or completion of an apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology
    Certification of completion of a Certified Apprenticeship Program
    Ability to run and set up both conventional and program CNC equipment
    3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    Experience in a quality environment
