    Job Description

    REMEDIATION ENGINEER | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Manage projects from start to completion, handling initial scope, budget, schedule, on-site activities, communication with clients and regulators, and site closure
    • Oversee due diligence and regulatory compliance management
    • Manage sites within a risk-based decision-making framework essential to the regulatory process
    • Supervise underground and aboveground storage tank investigation, remediation, and closure projects
    • Lead brownfield voluntary cleanup program projects
    • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, regulators, and insurance representatives both in the field and office
    • Conduct and supervise sampling and data collection for air, water, groundwater, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, solid waste, radon, and soil for laboratory testing
    • Document field activities appropriately
    • Plan, direct, and oversee investigation/remediation activities, such as installing monitoring wells, drilling investigations, soil sampling, and waste handling
    • Conduct research activities and compile various reports like status reports, groundwater sampling, site characterization, and risk assessments
    • Retrieve information from governmental and regulatory bodies through applicable laws

    REMEDIATION ENGINEER | COMPETENCIES:

    • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a curious mindset that aids in solving client challenges creatively
    • Build strong and lasting relationships
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Work effectively as a team player
    • Manage time efficiently, multitask, and remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
    • Create clear and concise reports incorporating tabular, numerical, and graphical environmental data analysis

    REMEDIATION ENGINEER | EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Hold a Missouri and/or Illinois Professional Engineer License
    • Preferably possess a Professional Geologist license
    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline
    • Preferably hold a Master's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering
    • Have at least 8 years of professional experience in site investigation, remediation engineering, and related areas
    • Expertise in navigating CERCLA, RCRA, USTs State, and relevant regulations with experience in additional regulations like TSCA, FIFRA, EPCRA, CWA, CAA, and/or SDWA being a benefit
