    Position Summary


    We are looking for an aggressive and high-performing Sales Manager to contribute to meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets while strengthening Plug's market leadership in electrolyzer and other green hydrogen solution sales.


    You will be responsible for maximizing and realizing our electrolyzer sales team's potential, addressing and developing Sales leads, and driving opportunities to close.

    You will represent Plug in the broader market with regard to industry events and other facets of business development.

    You will be heavily incentivized to proactively identify and create opportunities for revenue and convert them with a high level of independence and efficiency.

    You will collaborate with the Americas team, the Global ELX Sales team and other Plug business units and teams, in the crafting and implementation of sales plans and participate in the go-to-market and overall strategy of our Electrolyzer solutions.

    Core Duties And Responsibilities

    Represent Plug and advance sales/business development efforts at:
    Meetings with prospects or customers
    Project-related meetings
    Customer visits or tours of Plug facilities such as our PEM Gigafactory in Rochester, NY
    Industry conferences and related events
    Aggressively work to meet both individual and team sales targets by driving/converting qualified sales opportunities to revenue
    Proactively engage with the market via leads, market/industry news and announcements, RFPs and other avenues to increase pipeline of opportunity
    Support and collaborate with the Sales Director(s) regarding the above duties and goals
    Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them, and understanding their needs – embody Plug's mantra of being "customer-obsessed"
    Devise and present realistic but aggressive sales and revenue forecasts to Sales Director(s) and/or other management
    Identify emerging markets and market shifts while maintaining full awareness of new products and competition status
    Maintain awareness and fluency with regard to regulations, incentives (e.g. Inflation Reduction Act Production Tax Credit), government programs, etc. as applicable to the electrolyzer and hydrogen markets, such as to support and enable customer projects leading to sales
    Maintain and enact a creative, dealmaking mentality with regard to supply and demand opportunities in the US and Canadian hydrogen and electrolyzer markets, endeavoring to enable projects and thus sales
    Develop and maintain strong cross functional relationships and collaborate effectively throughout the broader Plug business
    Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
    Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Education And Experience

    Bachelors degree required in engineering, business, finance, accounting or other related field of study; MBA or equivalent degree desirable.
    A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.
    Experience in any of the following is highly valued:
    Sales
    Finance
    Engineering
    Good network and knowledge of hydrogen and electrolyzer business, or at minimum capital or energy equipment sales.
    Successful experience as a sales representative or sales manager/director, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
    Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
    Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
    Experience with Salesforce CRM (or fluency with comparable CRM)
    Uncompromising dedication to quality.

    Pay Rate

    $75, $112,860.00
