- Supervises the daily operations of the assigned area.
- Works collaboratively with management to ensure operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of The Queen's Medical Center.
- Essential: stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Frequent: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
- Occasional: standing, walking, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Depending upon area of assignment may lift and/or carry usual weight of 1 pound up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds.
- Operates computer, copier, telephone and fax.
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Associate's degree in business, health care or related field; OR two (2) years progressive experience in healthcare, preferably in a physician practice may substitute for educational requirement.
- Demonstrated knowledge in third party and government payor and reimbursement regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid program requirements preferred.
- In addition to the educational requirement, three (3) years experience in any or combination of the following: physician's practice, health clinic operations, medical insurance, physician practice services.
- Prior experience demonstrating ability to work effectively with physicians.
- Prior leadership/supervisory experience desirable.
