Overview:
Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Program Management (PM) Services TPS, a sub-consultant to AECOM, is seeking qualified candidates for a K-12 Project Manager Position.
Project types include:
new construction, comprehensive renovations and system replacement.
QUALIFICATIONS :
The position requires a Four-year college education (Bachelor's) in architecture, management, engineering, planning or related field from an accredited institution.
Similar experience with emphasis on MEP and Low Voltage systems is highly desirable
Preference will be given to candidates that are registered architects and engineers.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and industry standard design and construction management software is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of project management
strategies/concepts
to support the services of a major capital building program. (Cradle to grave)
Knowledge of different type commercial roofing systems and experience in re-roofing methodologies in occupied facilities is highly desirable
Skilled in the administration and planning, design and construction management of multiple projects occurring concurrently and in managing and providing services to support the Planning, Design, Construction and Closeout Phases of a major capital building program.
Knowledge and expertise to manage all project life cycle phase deliverables. (Planning through Project Close out)Knowledge to develop, maintain and update in-house policies & procedures to support the planning, design and construction of multiple projects.
Ability to conduct high level reviews of project submittals for accuracy, completeness and compliance with initial planning and design guidelines.
Skilled in negotiating consultant, design and construction contracts.Skilled in planning, tracking, evaluating and reporting on project management issues.9.Knowledge of current planning, design and construction industry best practices.
Knowledge of local and State governmental and contractual reporting requirements.Skilled in oral and written communications.
Knowledge of Florida DOE regulations and experience in the implementation of Florida Statutes and State Requirements for Educational Facilities with regards to the planning, design and construction of higher education facilities.
