Location: 701 Dellwood St S, Cambridge, MN 55008

The Patient Access Representative Associate is responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person.Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities:

Greets and welcomes patient in person
Collects demographic and insurance information
Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
Directs patient to their appointment or procedure
May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results
Obtains signatures from patients as needed
Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available.Refers complex questions as needed
Uses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues
Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department
May gather medical record information from all departments for collection

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of customer service experience in an office environment
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Intermediate level of proficiency with computers (dual monitors, navigating between multiple programs, etc.)
Ability to work 3-4 8-hour night shifts per week, between the hours of 11:00pm - 7:30am
Ability to occasionally work other shift times as business requires
Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

Insurance experience
Revenue Cycle Experience
General office experience
Epic experience

Soft Skills:

Ability to sit for extended periods
