    Job Description Job Description If you hate routine, have a strong creative urge, enjoy challenges, have a commitment to the low income, enjoy close patient interaction and are detail-oriented, please consider this meaningful positionEnergetic, capable RN or LPN with leadership abilities and experience in an acute withdrawal management (detox) program to lead an interdisciplinary team in a new state-of-the-art 16-bed, 24-hour residential detox facility in Lynnwood, WA.

    Nurse Manager oversees a multi-disciplinary staff of 22 and directly supervises 10-12 RNs and LPNs. The staff admit 80 to 100 persons a month, with average length of stay 5-7 days. Typical patient in our care is young (most will be age 18-33), withdrawing from opiates, alcohol, meth and poly-drugs.

    The goal of withdrawal management is to ease persons through the discomfort of withdrawal over the course of 3 to 15 days, address acute physical care needs, and arrange for treatment prior to discharge.

    Medication-assisted treatment is an important option available to patients.
    The organization participates in the federal Clinical Trials Network and local research projects with the University of Washington.     High energy, organized, and calm with at least 6 years experience in nursing in a hospital setting.
    Looking for a job with meaning and purpose.
    Familiar with withdrawal management processes, including ASAM, COWS and CIWA applications.

    Have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in nursing and at least 6 months in a chemical dependency detox or treatment unit.

    Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington State (BA degree in nursing highly desirable).Emergency room experience or at least 5 years nursing experience.
