    Surgical Coordinator (Bilingual in Spanish)

    Wellington, Florida

    What you'll do:

    • Working closely with physician, patients, surgical center and hospital to schedule urological procedures
    • Keep close contact with the patient and make sure they understand what they need to do as far as preparing for the procedure, dietary and medication restrictions, etc.
    • Answer multiple incoming calls from patients, hospitals and physician offices
    • Scheduling biopsies and procedures that are performed in the office
    • Obtaining all required consent forms
    • Getting authorization from insurance companies for procedures
    • Collecting financial responsibility from patients
    • Ensuring all pre-operative requirements and surgical clearances are ready prior to procedures
    • Printing operative reports for signature
    • Calling patients after surgery to schedule their post-operative appointments
    • Other duties as assigned as part of the team including answering phones, making patient appointments, and helping wherever needed
    Who you are:
    • High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of experience in a medical office setting
    • Good Computer skills in MS Office Must be able to fluently speak, write and understand English and Spanish
    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9, and CPT coding
    • Adheres to Company policy and procedures
    • Act as a role model within and outside the Company
    • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
    • Work independently with ability to lead others to meet company productivity standards and deadlines
    • Consistently report to work on time and perform duties of position
