    Manages Procedural Supply Chain team and implements and operationalizes process controls for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's integrated inventory and delivery network for Surgical Services to include OR, CVOR, IR and Cath Lab for EGH. For SR, covers OR only. Identifies and resolves opportunities and integrates efforts between all parties to provide seamless flow of product throughout the entire supply chain, ensuring the right product at the right place at the right time. Actively promotes an environment and culture focused on customer service, safety, analytics, technology, and cooperation by working with procedure areas across the organization to ensure appropriate communication, involvement, and decision-making.

    Experience

    • 3 years people management experience
    • 5 years inventory control/purchasing experience in an OR environment
    • 5 years logistics and inventory management experience
    • Experience with Tecsys, Workday and Omnicell

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CMRP Preferred
    • Experience in data mining and analysis
    • Knowledge of proper sterilization techniques and standards for procedure areas
    • Experience in managing supplies across multiple OR Service Lines, i.e., Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, General Surgery, etc., and in IR, Cath Lab and CVOR
    • Experience managing bill-only process and implants
    • Experience with Physician Preference Cards and Sterile Processing supplies

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, Materials Management or related degree

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage inventory levels in Operating Room (OR & CVOR), ensuring adequate supply availability and minimal supply disruption.
    • Manage Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) inventory levels to ensuring supply availability and minimal disruption to procedure areas.
    • Manage and ensure compliance for Bill-Only process in procedure areas.
    • Ensure compliance for implant management process in all procedure areas.
    • Establishes collaborative, value-based relationships with procedure area teams and leadership to improve Supply Chain service levels.
    • Define, create, and implement standard operating procedures for procedure areas inventory management and relief processes.
    • Manages expiration dates by rotating of supplies. Ensures the removal of expired, recalled, and discontinued supplies for disposal.
    • Manage par levels successfully through usage data and trends analysis and through collaboration with procedure area leadership and teams.
    • Attends all OR planning meetings and rounds on daily basis to ensure all supply locations are organized and have adequate stock of supplies. Communicate product backorders and substitutes to ANM's for procedure areas in a timely manner to ensure successful alignment and to minimize disruption to patient care.
    • Engage VA to manage product conversion and substitution process for procedure area supplies while aligning with cleaning leadership and VAT to ensure compliance and patient safety needs are successfully met.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy by leading and conducting weekly cycle counts for procedure inventory locations, ensuring inventory variances are properly investigated and addressed to minimize cost impact to OR, IR and Cath Lab.
    • Lead and actively participate in inventory planning activities through collaborative, value - based relationships with business partners (Service Lines, other Supply Chain Managers, Clinical Operations, and business partners) by working closely and obtaining feedback on an ongoing basis.
    • Operationalize Inventory control policies and standing operating procedures (i.e. cycle counts, inventory putaway process, inventory rotation practices, inventory relief and expensing, expiration checks etc).
    • Establish best practice space mapping, delivery schedules, unloading/receiving procedures, order picking, returns and stocking standards. Participates in development of system policies, procedures, and training to support best practices.
    • Participate in the development and leads location's implementation of emergency plans including recalls and disasters.
    • Lead teams to complete Physical Inventory and assist in location discrepancy resolution, root cause analysis, process improvements and corrective action plans.
    • Maximize use of existing inventory control system and recommends/employs additional technology where appropriate and practical.
    • Develop and lead programing in support of KPIs, for efficient and cost-effective operations and utilization of facilities and labor, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and timeliness.
    • Operationalize inventory control policies and training. Fully optimize and use auto replenishment technology and processes for procedure areas and ensure compliance.
    • Lead network Supply Chain staff, driving accountability, communicating job performance standards with timely feedback, standardizing processes, eliminating unnecessary activities, coaching behavior, and motivating the team toward continuous improvement in quality, attendance, safety, and productivity.
    • Manage and lead team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
    • Develop programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations and utilization of facilities and labor.
    • Assist Inventory Control Manager to maximize use of existing inventory control system and recommend/employ additional technology where appropriate and practical. Target areas of forecasting, demand management, inventory control, cost reduction, product standardization/customization and creative solutions to enhance logistics operations.
    • Procure and manage supplies for the Service Line including consignment and Bill Only. Manage process to keep OpTime, Workday and Tecsys appropriately linked for procedure areas.
