- Executes numerous housekeeping and cleaning activities to ensure cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, meeting facilities and public areas
- Signs in and signs out room keys according to established guidelines.
- Maintains housekeeping cart and ensures readiness for next shift.
- Notifies housekeeping supervisor or housekeeping manager of maintenance repairs and cleaning supply needs.
- Notifies supervisor, manager, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the cleanliness of all designated areas of the Hotel.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Housekeeping activities may include:
changing linens, bathroom maintenance, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, debris and trash removal, shampooing carpets, window and wall washing, dusting and woodwork maintenance.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
Frequent contact with the front desk, engineering and banquet associates.
External:
Continual contact with guests and visitors.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Receives direction and supervision from the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor and Hotel Housekeeping Manager on a daily basis.
EDUCATION:
A High School education or equivalent is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of six months in a housekeeping or in a customer focused environment is preferred.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work Conditions:
The majority of position responsibilities are performed in the Hotel and Convention Center with exposure to differentials in temperature.
Exposure to Hazards:
May be exposed to situations where hazardous chemicals, spills, wet floors of guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate housekeeping machinery for extended periods of time.

The manner in which the employee relates to fellow employees, customers and visitors is considered parallel in importance to technical knowledge and ability.

OTHER:
Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in departmental training and development sessions.
