We are actively seeking a Concierge to join the MMC teamOur Concierge team members are customer service driven and act as the first point of contact for the property residents and guests. Team members are responsible for creating an outstanding client experience through exceptional service and attention to detail.This position reports to the Lead Concierge and will be responsible for greeting clients as they enter the building and assisting with their specific needs. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years' experience in the concierge field, hotel, or customer service experience.     Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Position requires person to work from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
    • Act as liaison between the building and Property Manager and work closely with the Building Superintendent.
    • Provide access control; use security cameras and patrol building to monitor access points and ensure that the building is secure at all times.
    • Greet residents/visitors/vendors when they arrive ensuring guests who do not live on the property are logged into the visitor or vendor log.
    • Perform applicable administrative tasks like file/log and computer system updates relevant to building operations and maintain shift notes including "pass-on" logs to ensure successful communication through shift changes.
    • May be asked to assist with filing documents or to review the daily activity of various transactions that take place at the community by auditing files. Function as clerical support as time or shift coverage permits.
    • Maintain excellent relationships with local restaurants, theaters, and venues. Research current events and happenings in the neighborhood. Make knowledgeable recommendations to residents and their guests.
    • Capable of procuring reservations, tickets, guest accommodations, museum and gallery exhibit passes.
    • Assist the Lead Concierge in maintaining the schedule for resident move-ins/outs and elevator usage through appropriate coordination with Property Manager.
    • Ensure that new residents receive the necessary orientation to the community and are familiar with the services provided both at the community and through the Concierge Desk.
    • Coordinate receipt and delivery of incoming and outgoing packages including dry cleaning per the building policy.
    • Immediately contacts emergency maintenance personnel if an emergency maintenance situation develops.
    • Enters maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner to ensure that resident requests are submitted properly. Follows up on all completed request as requested to ensure resident satisfaction.
    • In the case of emergency, contact the applicable public service response organization and the Property Manager and follow applicable emergency procedures as directed in the property manual.
    • Follow procedures, policies, and other important correspondence from HQ. Receive maintenance requests and pass to the appropriate manager in a prompt manner.
    • Assists with organization, set-up, implementation, and clean-up of all resident events hosted by the community.
    • Immediately contacts emergency maintenance personnel if an emergency maintenance situation develops.
    • Required to remove snow from sidewalks and steps and apply ice melt.
    • Complete other additional projects as requested by the lead concierge or property manager.
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • A minimum of 2 years' customer service experience required.
    • Must be on time and able to stay awake during the entire shift.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must have general computer skills to perform administrative and clerical tasks, including time entry.
    • Ability to drive a manual transmission, highly preferred.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, reliable individual who can anticipate and resolve issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy building activity and emergencies.
    • Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
    • Must be able to move, lift, push, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
    • Must pass background check.
    • Must be able to provide 3 professional references.
    • Ability to commute to work location via public transportation as our properties have no on-site parking.
