- Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
- Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as minor plumbing repairs, drain cleanings, minor HVAC repairs, emergency response, cleanup work, painting, and wall patching.
- Drives a lift to perform cleaning, dusting, and light bulb changing.
- Performs janitorial work including spot cleaning, window washing, restroom maintenance, trash handling, and other housekeeping duties.
- Performs light carpentry including signage installation and display repairs.
- Performs light electrical replacement work such as changing ballasts and resetting circuit breakers.
- Performs roof inspections.
- Works with glues, carpet seem sealers, and stain removers.
- Documents defects found while performing inspections or checks.
- Tracks work orders and other key documentation.
- Completes all work orders and submits them to the corporate office.
- Manages parts and tool inventory.
- 2 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and preventative maintenance management
- 2 years of experience using communication and problem-solving skills
- 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role
- Current, valid driver's license
- Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Acquire gain and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire
- Able to push up to 100 pounds and carry up to 75 pounds
