SALARY:
As determined by negotiated extra duty salary schedule and current memorandums of understanding with the collective bargaining unit.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide coaching around fundamental skills of wrestling for 6th-8th grade boys and girls. Support the Head Wrestling Coach. Attend practices/meets on a timely, consistent basis. Maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, paperwork. Serve as a positive role model and ensure safety of all athletes. Supervise athletes in the gym, locker room, and on bus trips.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful coaching experience
Adheres to sports philosophy of Phoenix-Talent Schools
Model high standards of behavior
Meet/ability to meet coaching certification requirements: FA/CPR, Concussion Training, Anabolic Steroid, blood-borne pathogens, etc.
Experience with wrestling preferred
Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches
PREFERENCE:
May be given to those candidates who hold a valid Oregon teaching license
May be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English
