auditing and reporting requirements; maintaining inventory quality including food for storing and processing

To be able to:
Participates in audits of product deliveries and stored products. Understands and utilizes all tools used for maintaining audit information, sharing best practices with leaders and peers. Employs basic quality control techniques in food testing and other practices. Identifies potential cold-chain deviations and opportunities. Handles actual or potential quality problems, such as problems with raw materials. Performs quality control activities according to organizational standards/requirements. Demonstrates understanding of the effects of time and temperature on product quality. Coaches personnel on how to use tools and equipment for quality inspection.


Food Safety:

Possess knowledge of:
Cold Chain Policies; Sanitary and Safe Food Handling Practices; personal protective equipment policies


To be able to:
Monitors and controls potential food handling hazards such as cold chain management and cross contamination. Ensures that team members are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with workplace standards. Ensures proper food handling practices. Informs others about factors that may have an impact on safe food handling processes. Assures that all equipment and work areas are sanitary. Follows the ServSafe standards, food handling policies, and applicable laws and regulations.

Business Process Improvement

Process improvement techniques and methodologies; change management principles; process analysis processes


To be able to:

Warehouse Management:

Possess knowledge of:

To be able to:
Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems. Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center. Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area. Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities.


Documentation and Data Collection:

Possess knowledge of:
regulatory and reporting requirements; data auditing processes; data retention policies


To be able to:
Evaluates best practices of data gathering, record maintenance and documentation within the industry. Advises on advanced data gathering and record maintenance. Evaluates the pros and cons of various audit data analysis methods for the organization.

Ripening:

Possess knowledge of:
Fruit ripening processes; color variation guidelines various produce product quality; ordering and scheduling procedures; proper produce handling procedures


To be able to:
Manages the conditioning and ripening of bananas, avocados, pears, and other produce that need ripening. Forecasts demand for fruit to ensure that it arrives at the desired color and maturity. Orders and schedules inbound and outbound delivery of bananas, avocados, pears, and other ripening produce. Educates distribution center and store associates on proper handling procedures. Recognize the climatic and geographical effects of fruits and vegetables, and the related ripening criteria.
