    Job Title: Cost Estimating Analyst 3

    The Cost Estimating Analyst 3 will support estimating and pricing activities, working closely with the various functional teams such as Engineering, Procurement, Program Management and Contracts.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, prepares, and supports cost proposals to government and commercial customers.
    • Covers cost input collection and accumulation from cross-functional departments.
    • Supports consolidation and pressure-testing of basis of estimates (BoEs) across all elements of cost (Labor, Material, Travel / Other Direct Costs, Subcontracts) for accuracy and completeness.
    • Researches historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts, and determines the accuracy of functional estimates.
    • Assesses estimating techniques and historical actuals documentation.
    • Evaluates Bill of Materials (BOMs), selects appropriate pricing methods, and ensures all quotes are recent.
    • Consolidates cost estimates in pricing tool / ERP system.
    • Generates cost volume, financial analyses, and ad hoc support as needed.
    • SUPPORTS AUDIT REQUESTS AND FACT-FINDING.

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Able to communicate and present cost estimating information to leadership.
    • Able to perform bidding to different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M).
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure bids are completed on schedule.
    • Proficient in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Self-starter that is capable of working independently and in a team environment.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

    Experience:

    5 - 7 years experience in cost estimation.
