    Job Description: Discipline Lead and Engineer of Record (EOR) - Plumbing


    About the Role:

    As a Discipline Lead and Engineer of Record (EOR), you will play a crucial role in the delivery of large, complex projects across sectors such as advanced manufacturing, micro-electronics, and biopharma globally. Your leadership in the plumbing scope of assigned projects will ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with client expectations.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and scrutinize project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other foundational documents to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
    • Manage project estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
    • Formulate and assess design criteria, calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings, ensuring all project and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Lead technical support efforts for equipment and material procurement, including inspection, testing, acceptance, installation, and commissioning phases.
    • Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers and designers.

    Basic Requirements:
    • An accredited four-year degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or global equivalent.
    • At least 16 years of work-related experience, with a professional certification or registration in the applicable field.
    • Deep knowledge of local, state/province, and federal/national codes and standards relevant to plumbing design.
    • Proven ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team effectively.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated experience in life sciences, pharma, nuclear, semiconductor, and microelectronics industries.
    • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Smart 3D, and/or Visio.
    • Hands-on field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
