    The Role


    Spireon Inc., a Solera Company, is hiring for the following role in Westlake, TX; Manager, Data Engineering to manage and develop data engineering frameworks including the data modeling, ETL of data, warehousing, reporting, and data governance for Spireon.

    What You'll Do

    Develop and maintain data flow and data sharing with internal and external systems;

    Develop and lead data validation checks and scripts to ensure high data quality and availability;
    Provide technical guidance and coaching to other team members;
    Ensure adherence organizational Agile/Scrum methodology;
    Perform architecture reviews from a data engineering perspective;
    Develop Data Strategy and implementation road map aligned with the business needs and vision;
    Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks for high volume data processing;
    Explore Data Analysis, Data Science and Machine learning opportunities and present cases for leadership to pursue;
    Collaborate with stake holders, understand requirements, and manage data engineers to deliver as per release schedule;
    Provide recommendations on building future data products;
    Adhere to data protection requirements including data access, retention, residency, and de-identification;
    Monitor regulatory guidelines, compliance guidelines and emerging industry standards to determine their impact on data architecture;
    Understand the data ecosystem, including Data Management, Data Quality Standards, Data Governance, Accessibility, and Storage and Scalability;
    Provide implementation recommendations and tradeoffs and present findings to senior leadership; and
    Evaluate vendor technologies, participates in rapid prototyping and POC efforts.

    What You'll Bring

    Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field;

    Two (2) years in the job offered or related occupation;


    Requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Data analysis; SQL; Python or R; Exploratory Analysis; A/B Testing; Business intelligence tool, including Snowflake or Looker; Business intelligence platforms, including Tableau or Domo; and MS Excel, including writing advanced excel formulas and using conditional, vlookups/hlookups, sorting and filtering, array formulas, and VBA macros, pivot reporting, and conditional formatting.
