    Overview:

    M Health Fairview is looking for a Housekeeping Aide at our Fairview St. Johns Hospital location, in Maplewood, MN.

    This position will perform cleaning duties as assigned to keep the facility orderly, attractive, clean and sanitary.

    Location: St. Johns Hospital, located in Maplewood

    Hours: 80 hours biweekly, with every other weekend dedication

    Shift: Evening

    Schedule

    Week 1:

    Mon: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Tue: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Thu: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Fri: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Week 2:

    Mon: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Tue: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Wed: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Fri: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Sat: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Sun: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Responsibilities/Job Description:
    • Maintains knowledge of, and aligns with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
    • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, positive and efficient outcomes
    • Cleans all occupied rooms daily to provide a clean, sanitary environment to the patients
    • Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedure rooms
    • Maintains and clean and attractive areas including: maintaining of hard surface and carpeted flooring, cleans offices and public areas, collects and disposes of refuse.
    • Cleans up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent exposure to substances that could be safety hazards in a timely manner
    • Maintains and performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion to align with quality and frequency standards in department policy and procedure manual
    • Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions
    • Restocks paper supplies upon daily cleaning of area to ensure they are adequately filled and maintains linen distribution system to provide user areas with adequate amounts of linen to give patient care
    • Mixes, uses supplies and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety
    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 16 years of age.

    Preferred Qualifications & Other Required Skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
    • Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
