    Description

    Are you a seasoned engineering professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in the construction industry? Our client is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join its dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all Application Engineering functions, resolving jobsite engineering problems, and providing technical assistance to rental centers and customers. You will work closely with the Regional Engineer and Regional Engineering Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects and the continued growth of our business.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supervise teams of Application Engineering personnel as assigned by the Regional Engineering Manager
    • Train District Technical Service Form Designers and Detailers Personnel in established corporate application engineering principles
    • Perform application engineering functions as required
    • Maintain compliance with corporate policies
    • Routinely visit job sites to increase knowledge of forming techniques
    • Resolve job site engineering problems
    • Assist Account Managers in sales efforts as requested
    • Provide technical assistance to rental centers and customers
    • Prepare engineering cost proposals as assigned by the Regional Engineering Manager
    • Attend classes/seminars to maintain professional competency
    • Perform duties as assigned by the Regional Engineer

    Qualifications:

    • Five years of experience working in construction or a related field
    • Five years of experience working under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be a licensed Professional or Structural Engineer (may be an EIT with an acceptable target date for examination)

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and other drafting software
    • Proficiency in structural analysis software

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    • Two years as an engineering department supervisor for a firm engaged in concrete formwork and shoring design
    • Knowledge of building codes and standards
