Key responsibilities for a Floorcare Technician at Dedicated Building Services include:

• Vacuum carpeted floor surfaces.

The ideal candidate will have

• a valid CA driver's license with a good driving record,
• a clear background, and the ability to obtain and hold a badge for Los Angeles County;
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for performing periodic advanced floor care duties such as stripping, dressing, buffing and waxing of hard floors; carpet extraction and shampooing; terrazzo maintenance; using cleaning equipment like buffers, auto scrubbers; reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards to your supervisor. You'll also work safely in accordance with company and job site safety procedures. Additionally,you should have graduation from High School or equivalent preferred, six months or more related experience buffing wood tile terrazzo floor surfaces knowledge understanding verbal written instructions communication interaction supervisor coworkers customers mixing use chemicals maintain equipment qualify physical demands regularly required bend stand squat walk push pull reach hands arms shoulder level below finger handle feel objects tools controls speak hear occasionally climb reach lift 60 pounds always wear personal protective equipment environment free discrimination intimidation harassment including sexual harassment working indoors outdoors exposed dirt dust disinfectants solvents chemical noise level low high depending on used report multiple work sites shift adhere company established standards
