- Assure compliance of retention and record keeping of department files. Answer payroll and policy questions as needed.
- Provide supervision, evaluation and accountability coaching to supervisors and managers.
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
- Identify talent issues before they affect the business.
- Manage team member recognition activities
- Oversee efficient administration of team member benefits, worker's compensation and unemployment insurance.
- Manage a Human Resources Generalist
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing HR functions and team
- Professional certification in Human Resources: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred
- Effective communicator - bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Extensive knowledge of California employment law, benefits administration and compliance in a highly regulated sector
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience developing and implementing HR initiatives
- Ability to build best in class systems, processes and implement HR tool
