Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, OR
Join a team dedicated to serving our nation's veterans We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Oregon. As part of our mission, you will have the opportunity to work either from a VES facility or your own office, providing vital services within a 50-mile radius of your location. This role offers flexibility to work ½ days or full days based on your availability and preference.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary reports and documentation for examinations and assessments.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain a compliant and professional environment while interacting with veterans.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Active AANP certification.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Oregon.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience or background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner License in Oregon.
- AANP Certification.
- Willingness to complete additional training as required.
