- Setup and launch of production cells in our new facility in Ladson, SC.
- Resolve production-related issues and drive improvement efforts.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation for all relevant products.
- Support quality system and product-focused efforts.
- Work with suppliers and other Leidos departments to resolve issues.
- Analysis of technical parameters for obsolete parts.
- Routine review and action of parts obsolescence backlog.
- Supporting assessment of technical issues amongst stakeholders.
- Implementing rigorous processes, tools, and metrics for results.
- Identifying, leading, and implementing projects to improve manufacturing processes.
- Applying lean techniques for quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.
- Creating processes, procedures, tooling, and fixtures for workflow efficiencies.
- Developing standardized design criteria across product lines.
- Supporting New Product Introductions into the Ladson Manufacturing facility.
- Maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance and strategic planning.
- BS with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Engineering change orders expertise.
- Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Software integration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with scanning technology, motor controllers, and electrical schematics.

Leidos currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions team, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of a variety of products. Using your skills as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop processes that ensure a consistent and quality-focused approach to product manufacturing. This is an on-site position directly involved with the manufacturing of a variety of products used in providing security solutions within airports. This role requires a comfort level working on the shop floor alongside our manufacturing and service teams. You will solve daily production challenges, support the production schedule, and drive ongoing production improvements, including training at other Leidos locations and guiding the setup and launch of the new facility in Ladson.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87, $157,450.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline. Additional factors considered include responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data alignment, applicable agreements, or other legal aspects.
