- Perform daily welding requests to repair process equipment, parts and other welding needs.
- Make runs of sanitary food grade piping from start to finish.
- Fabricate and weld a variety of parts, brackets, trays hangers, etc.
- Safely utilize all shop tools and equipment associated with the welding trade.
- Manage and maintain the necessary supplies and materials used in this job function.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
- Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
- Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.
- Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
- Ability to apply logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year of related welding experience and/or training required.
- Experience welding stainless and making food-grade repairs preferred.
- Experience welding with stick welder to make a variety of repairs in horizontal, vertical and overhead preferred.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints preferred.
- Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following locations: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, Le Sueur Protein Research Center, and Le Sueur Business Office.
- Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
