    ContractBehavior Technician
    ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team for the school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year. The Behavior Technician will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to implement behavior intervention plans and support the overall well-being of students with behavioral challenges.The selected Behavior Technicianwill be hired on as a part time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy for a school districtlocated in Jefferson, MA.

    Caseload:

    • Part time: 20-25hours per week
    • Monday - Friday
    • 1:1 and group support
    • Mild/moderate & Moderate/severe
    • Caseload will be assigned based on preference, experience and availability

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the school's behavior specialist or psychologist.
    • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral challenges in classroom and non-classroom settings.
    • Collect data on student behavior and progress towards behavioral goals.
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized strategies for students with behavioral needs.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide behavior management strategies.
    • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to ethical guidelines
    • Assist students with ADL's, toileting/changing, feedings, and wheelchair transfers.
    • Help maintain order and discipline in the classroom.
    • Provide academic support to students, including helping with assignments, homework, and projects.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
    • Help manage and address behavioral issues by implementing strategies outlined by the teacher or school.
    • Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among students

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
    • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

    Interview Process:

    • 10 15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
    • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
    • Offer is typically within 24-48hours of the virtual interview
