Duties

Responsible for the local implementation of national goals, targets, and objectives relating to environmental issues.

Oversees the environmental program and may assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of local environmental policy.

Responsible for local implementation of a comprehensive environmental management oversight program.

Responsible for ensuring the local institution uses EMS as the primary management approach for addressing environmental aspects of internal operations and activities, including environmental aspects of energy and transportation functions, the establishment of agency objectives and targets to ensure implementation of this order, and the collection, analysis, and reporting of information to measure performance in the implementation of Executive Orders 13423 and

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.

The staff's correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
