Description


Melt Supervisor - Oversee melt operations, which include:





• Monitoring the temperature of the molten metal.
• Ensuring the environment is safe for the employees.
• Ensuring the proper technique is being used.
• Able to assist with laboratory functions such as testing the chemistry of the metal and being able to run/calibrate various laboratory machines such as an ARL, Spectrograph or Carbon testing machine.
• Lead and assist pouring operations.
• Working with Lab tech to ensure proper chemistry of the metal being poured and to ensure the quality of the metal matches the company's and customer's standards.
• Using an overhead crane and forklift to move material's.
• Be able to identify and correct any mistakes or issue that arise within the department
• Measuring amounts of material needed.
• Keeping inventory of the items needed for the department.
• Document all aspects of the department such as scrap rate, material used, material needed, what was done that


Requirements

Must be knowledgeable in Math

Must be knowledgeable in Chemistry

Must be able to lead a team of roughly 10 people

Must be organized

Must have leadership/supervisory experience

Have worked in a foundry or manufacturing setting

Reliable Transportation

Job Type:
Full-time

Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
