    Property Accountant

    Job Summary :

    As a Property Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our real estate portfolio.

    You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

    Additionally, you will utilize Yardi software extensively to streamline accounting processes and enhance overall efficiency.

    Responsibilities :

    Financial Reporting :

    Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.


    General Ledger Maintenance :
    Maintain the general ledger for assigned properties, recording all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

    Accounts Payable/Receivable :
    Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and tenant billings.

    Budgeting and Forecasting :

    Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for assigned properties, collaborating with property managers and senior management as needed.


    Bank Reconciliations :

    Reconcile bank accounts for assigned properties on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.


    Yardi Software Utilization :
    Utilize Yardi software extensively to streamline accounting processes, generate financial reports, and analyze property performance.

    Financial Analysis :
    Conduct variance analysis and trend analysis to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for enhancing financial performance.

    Compliance :
    Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and tax regulations.

    Audit Support :
    Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits


    Qualifications :
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
    3+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance.
    Proficiency in Yardi software is strongly preferred.
    Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Salary and Benefits :
    Competitive salary of $75,000 - $80,000 annually.
