    The Application and Database Administrator is responsible for all enterprise applications, including but not limited to Tessitura, NetSuite, ADP, and all other related database configuration and administration. With the HelpDesk staff, they are the first line of support for the users with regards to all application and database issues. They are also responsible for user training, including generating user and technical documentation as required. Reporting to the VP of IT, they will work to support the users with their reporting, data, and analytics requests. Additionally, this position will act to ensure proper data hygiene. They will also work in close coordination with the Infrastructure team.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Technology:

    To provide ongoing administrative support for the Application software and database systems. Duties and responsibilities include but are not be limited to the following:


    • Assist all departments with integrating Tessitura with other applications and Intrepid's website and intranet.


    • Perform all required database administrator functions including writing PL/SQL, SQL scripts, backups, database jobs, overall database health, etc.


    • Working with the Tessitura stakeholders, including Visitor Services, Marking, Institutional Advancement, Education, Finance, etc. to research, plan, implement and troubleshoot Tessitura upgrades, including creating use cases for testing and staff training as necessary.


    • Update system tables as necessary.


    • Serve as Help Desk contact for issues relating to enterprise applications (see list above).


    • Coordinate and schedule webinars provided by Tessitura and other partners.


    • Serve as technical lead for the Tessitura Version 16 upgrade.


    • Act as company-wide resource for training and assistance with Enterprise Applications and databases. For instance, meet with all departments to advise on how they could most effectively utilize Tessitura.


    • Engage with other external Application users via the Forums on the Network's website.


    • Assist users with solutions for implementing new ideas and plans.


    • Execute SQL queries and updates as required.


    • Take a leading user focused role in the implementation of new technologies relating to enterprise applications and databases.


    • Represent Intrepid in a dignified and professional manner.


    • Attend Tessitura Learning & Community Conference as permitted.


    • Perform other duties as may be assigned.


    • Remain up to date with the latest developments and how these may be used at Intrepid.


    • Working with all application stakeholders to create a roadmap for future application product implementations at Intrepid.

    Qualifications:


    • BS in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    • 2 to 3 years' experience working extensively with Tessitura.


    • 2 to 3 years working and/or integrating with Ticketing systems.


    • Knowledge of or experience with analytics, report writing and program develop strongly preferred.


    • 2 to 3 years' experience with research, developing and implementing online and emerging technologies


    • Ability to translate technical issues for the end user and translate user requirements into technical requirements required.


    • Excellent project management skills.


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and lead other staff members.


    • Technical knowledge of the PC and Web environments and ways to fix/optimize these environments.
