    Job Description

    We are a fast paced boutique business litigation firm with offices in Houston and San Antonio. We are looking for an attorney with at least three years of litigation under his or her belt. This is an in-office position.

    We are looking for someone with the following skill set:

    • Legal Research and Writing. You must have exceptional legal research and writing skills on complex commercial, trade secrets, and IP matters in state and federal court (we have federal cases across the country).
    • Organize Discovery and Exhibits. Our cases involve substantial and technical documents, both from our clients and the opposing side. Our attorneys must be able to digest, identify and organize documents to be used at hearings, motions for summary judgment, and at trial.
    • Depositions and Witness Examination. You must have experience in preparing for depositions and cross examinations at evidentiary hearings. This includes identifying relevant exhibits to satisfy elements of the claim, and address any affirmative defenses raised. This will include addressing IP matters in federal court. You will be expected to handle an evidentiary hearing your first year with the Firm.
    • In Court Experience. Because there is a premium placed on how you prepare pleadings and present in Court, we are looking for candidates who have written and argued contested motions for summary judgment, motions to compel discovery, and other motions before the Court. We have a heavy injunction practice. If you have experience in arguing injunctions, that is a bonus, but not required.
    • Multitasking. You will be asked to handle several projects simultaneously. You must do so with focus and calm.

    You will be required to bill at least 1600 hours billed to clients annually on hourly and flat fees; 300 billed on contingency.

    Please provide a writing sample of at least two contested motion you have written and argued along with a cover letter of areas of law that you wish to develop of the next few years.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Compensation of $120,000 - $125,000 base and bonuses based on client satisfaction, billing and project performance.

    401K Program (after one year);

    Medical benefits plan after three months.
