- The Deputy Chief Engineer III tailors the requirements of each Technical Direction Plan (TDP) to match the complexity of the project requirements, to include skill-mix estimates, labor hours, and labor resource allocations to perform SE and architecture following an MBSE method
- Minimum of 5 years of experience across the SE lifecycle, including multiple lifecycles; minimum of 2 years of systems engineering experience, with an understanding of the full lifecycle; minimum of 3 years of experience leading systems-level analysis, requirements generation, integrating computer hardware/software development and software systems engineering, and modeling and simulation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related discipline
- Master's degree in systems engineering, computer science or engineering, electrical engineering, or related IT or engineering discipline.
- 10 years of experience supporting Federal Government Space system programs, regulations, rules, and governance-related research and development
- Experience hosting cloud-based and hybrid cloud/on-premises network solutions (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud platform, IBM cloud).
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native scalability and distributed applications that leverage micro-service architecture
- The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Eligible clearance is required prior to starting this position.
- Must be a US Citizen
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

Description:
The Deputy Chief Engineer III takes recommendations from Innovation Recommendation Reports (IRR) and Design Recommendation Reports (DRR) as derived from applied research to evaluate adaptability of emerging technologies and construct inputs or respond to Technical Direction Letters (TDL)
They recommend improvements in MBSE methods, techniques, and tools to accomplish the scope of work required for each Maverick Task
They provide technical expertise and strategic leadership for the design and development of complex systems and enterprise solutions
They guide multiple, concurrently executing projects through Systems Engineering Plan activities that support Research and Development (R&D) and acquisition lifecycles
The Deputy integrates risk management, program management, Test and Evaluation, data analytics, model-based engineering, system security engineering, technology evaluation, change management, infrastructure, and operations
They report to the Chief Engineer and supervise and mentor subordinate project and Team ManTech staff
The Deputy Chief Engineer III is a senior role leading multiple concurrent project teams in emerging technologies
