    We create and foster enduring relationships that result in advocacy and philanthropic support for Johns Hopkins University & Medicine; strengthening the institution through partnerships with donors, alumni, volunteer leaders, faculty, students, staff, and patients.

    Johns Hopkins University supports a flexible work model which includes four different work modalities. This role has a hybrid work arrangement with an onsite presence of 3 days per week. The manager will confirm the team's core onsite days where the majority/all team members will work in the office. Employees who travel on university business can count those days towards their onsite days.

    We are seeking a results-oriented Executive Recruiter who performs and manages the full life cycle recruiting process for all leadership level roles in Development and Alumni Relations at Johns Hopkins University and Medicine.

    You will be an expert at your craft comprising all aspects of an executive search including research, candidate generation and development, senior client management, and complex offer negotiations.

    This role will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager on the Talent Management and Human Resources (TMHR) team in Development &Alumni Relations (DAR) Division.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
    Execute the end-to-end recruitment process, including reviewing job description, creating a recruitment strategy, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection, for all leadership level roles, traditionally director and above, within DAR

    Build a trusted advisor relationship with hiring managers, coaching them on effective search strategies, compensation, interviewing and long-term engagement of passive candidates.

    Ensure a positive candidate experience by fostering proactive communication, implementing a well-structured recruitment process and offering comprehensive information to the candidates reflecting the organization's values and culture.

    Conduct thorough intake sessions with hiring managers to gain deep insights into their hiring needs.
    Create and execute interview processes. This includes providing guidance in interview questions, interview evaluations, interview schedules and facilitating the selection of finalists.
    Strategize and collaborate with DAR leadership to understand current and future hiring needs and contribute to workforce planning initiatives.
    Provide high level of support to hiring managers and ensure the right candidates are identified for each role.

    Utilize various channels and resources to identify and source qualified candidates for leadership-level positions, including passive candidates from relevant industries, professional networks, databases, and job boards.

    Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through every aspect of the hiring journey.

    Stay updated on industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and emerging leadership competencies in higher education and development to inform and guide recruitment strategies effectively.

    Collaborate and partner across the talent acquisition team in Central JHU and TMHR and the entire DAR TMHR team.
    Ensure adherence to all applicable recruitment laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the recruitment process.

    Collaborate closely with compensation to develop competitive salaries that ensure internal equity, and manage the offer, negotiation, and acceptance stages.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree required.
    Seven (7)+ years sourcing and recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on executive recruiting.

    Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Ability to work with discretion and handle sensitive and confidential information.
    A strategic mindset with a results-driven approach to meet recruitment goals and timelines.
    Demonstrated experience and comfort partnering with and influencing leadership.
    Knowledge of external talent environment, market trends, competitors, and general talent availability.
    Technologically astute; ability to leverage tools and technology to manage talent pipeline and ensure data accuracy.
    Strong knowledge of recruitment process and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    Experience working in a development/fundraising environment considered a plus
