    Overview

    The Production Planning Manager, North America has responsibility for the oversight of the North America planning and materials management function to improve core planning processes that result in improved product availability, service levels increased inventory turns, decreased scrap and lower cost. The role will ensure that performance metrics are met by focusing on demand planning, supply planning, and distribution requirements planning. This includes leading processes and technology to link Sales, Manufacturing, Finance and Supply Chain forecasts that will translate into capacity and inventory strategies to increase customer service levels.

    The Supply Chain & Production Planning Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager, North America based in our Huntingdon Valley, PA US headquarters location. MSB observes a hybrid-schedule of three days in the office, two days remote working.

    Responsibilities

    1.Responsible for developing and managing the supply and demand plans for all procured and planned

    materials.

    2. Work is generally divided between demand planning (30%) / production planning (50%) / third party

    planning (20%).

    3. Successful candidate will build, maintain systems, and leverage them communicating outputs and

    following up to ensure proper execution.

    4. Works with Global demand planning to convert the demand plan (demand forecast) into a

    capacity/production plan.

    5. Manage and maintain the demand planning, supply planning and distribution requirements planning

    processes by leveraging SAP MRP and MS Excel.

    6. Bring new ideas and continuous improvement to develop and maintain a Monthly Production Schedule

    and MRP that can meet both the optimal products availability and the reduction of scrap.

    7. Identify, create, and manage appropriate replenishment method to optimally manage stock to ensure

    supply continuity and to minimize the risk of scrap to include finished goods and WIP.

    8. Responsible to collaborate with other departments and international partners to ensure forecast accuracy.

    9. Creates and maintains production schedule and creates the required process orders for the operations

    team.

    10. Tracks Production performance and schedule adherence. Keeps all departments accountable for meeting targets and for ensuring accountability with misses to plan.

    11. Manage production scheduling and capacity planning.

    12. Runs a weekly production status review with the operations team.

    13. Align with external business partners and cross functional teams to meet inventory targets while maintaining customer service levels.

    14.Create and process purchase orders to external suppliers for both direct raw materials & finished goods and help resolve invoice discrepancies as required.

    15. Creates Transport Orders for shipping the finished products to the Distribution Center

    16. Leverages SAP expertise to support other departmental functions (Production, Quality, Finance, R&D,

    etc…) as needed.

    17. Communicate priorities based on customer needs and production capacity effectively.

    18. Strategically analyze, validate, interpret, and publish metrics to Operations and senior management to

    ensure the supply chain is effective and in sync with the business plan.

    19. Responsible for maintaining accurate SAP master data, purchase orders, and planning parameters.

    20. Creates and maintains SAP part numbers as requested.

    21. Generates cycle counts and posts the final entries in SAP.

    22. Create material/inventory management best practices, warehouse management (cycle count accuracy,

    transactions, bar coding, RFID) and replenishment methods.

    23. Lead initiatives to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to prevent work stoppages.

    24. Manage and execute the sales, inventory, and operations plan processes and facilitate periodic reviews to ensure adherence to key business metrics.

    25. Build relationship with third party manufacturing (CMO), packaging (CPO), and/or warehousing /distribution suppliers (e.g. 3PL) and engage effectively to maintain / improve service, ensure

    supply continuity, and reduce scrap.

    Qualifications

    1. B.A./B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, or similar.

    2. Demonstrated direct experience managing Production Planning in a Planning or Production type role.

    3. Previous direct or strongly related Planning or Production management experience.

    4. SAP strong expertise and technical expertise a must.

    5. APICS CPIM or equivalent Supply Chain Management or Planning certification to include supply, demand, inventory and distribution Planning.

    6. Minimum 5+ years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain (planning, procurement, materials, logistics) and Continuous Improvement with a proven track record of strong performance results.

    7. Strong knowledge of relevant Supply Chain best practices and multi-step strategic sourcing.

    8. Solid understanding of warehouse management solutions.

    9. Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally.

    10. Strong technical acumen.
