    As a principal software engineer at Liberty Mutual, you'll consult on highly complex projects and solve technical problems, while working in an agile environment that has the creative energy of a start-up?The Software Delivery team in Secure DevOps Platforms is hiring a Security focused Software Engineer/SecDevOps to help lead the evolution of our secure coding and delivery practices within Liberty Mutual.

    This position will be a member of our Secure Developer Experience team, leading the adoption of secure delivery practices across the LM developer community.

    This includes our policy as code framework that ensures secure and compliant deployments to our cloud runtimes, elimination of sensitive data in our source code and application runtimes, and efficient detection and resolution of vulnerabilities.

    You will work to help identify, educate, and instruct teams in adopting these frameworks and practices.


    You thrive in complex, fast-paced, emerging opportunity areas that require iterative decision making and technical implementations at an enterprise scale.

    Working closely with users to define quality engineering experiences that balance efficiency, while advancing Liberty Mutual security and compliance standards.

    Exercise your technical chops while coaching and collaborating with junior software engineers.

    Keeping pace with a rapidly evolving technical landscape, driving strategic implementations that align with enterprise strategy, and ultimately protects our business and customers.

    QualificationsThree or more years of software engineering experience
    Exposure to Python or Node/Typescript, AWS Lambda, and API gateway in a production scenario
    Hands-on experience in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment (Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent) is ideal
    Negotiation, facilitation and consensus-building capabilities
    Ability no navigate object-oriented programming languages and tools
    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
