    JOB DESCRIPTION

    POSITION:MFGSupervisor-Catalog

    LOCATION:Houston Facility

    REPORTS TO:Manager of Branch Fab Operations

    Job Summary:Supervision of all manufacturing employees to achieve on-time delivery of our catalog product lines. Responsible for ensuring standard work is in place with the aid of thelocal Fab manager and theBranch Manager. Work with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to expand catalog capabilities based on sales and market demand. Use lean principles, to evaluate and improve of the flow and performance of our existing cells.

    Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Fab Material Coordinator, Sales, CC, and branch with upcoming shop orders and material lead times
  • Scheduling orders accordingly and ensure all projects are built to drawing specifications
  • Work alongside with lead to determine MFGcapacities weekly, monthly, yearly

  • •Ensure training for all personnel in safety and machine specific operations is completed and updated as needed


    •Update cross-training matrix records as trainer shows completed per employee

  • Participate in weekly catalog scheduling meetings
  • Develop and update mfgprocedures
  • Ensure metrics are updated daily
  • Ensure metric goals are being accomplished
  • Audit daily runtimes to ensure operators are entering in Mendixproperly
  • Develop a road map to meet facility's FEM goals quarterly, semiannually, and annually
  • Ensure facility is complying for internal safety and general audits
  • Responsible for addressing personnel on workplace violence, poor performance, and any other personnel related issues
  • Supervisor should hold at least one FEM training certification
  • Work on process improvements along with Fab engineers and teams
  • Perform quarterly one-on-one reviews with team. Develop a road map for each employee
  • Through regular contact with North America Fabrication Manager, participate in planning and/or decision making in matters concerning operational problems, inventory control, plant policy, maintenance issues, and workforce.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, analyzing and production performance records and data to include quarterly variance reports. Additional reporting will include downtime/QCPCs/production efficiency/safety.
  • Provide leadership, support, commitment and guidance on Quality and Safety issues.
  • Ensure Victaulic MFG processes and procedures are applied, as well as followed by all US Fabrication locations
  • Work with Fabrication Manager on facility budget based on monthly P&Ls.
  • Ensure property inventory systems are controlled, audited, and managed
  • Identify and communicate any QA issues to the appropriate teams
  • Provide mendix(shop floor software) support and suggest necessary improvements
  • Analyze and review all Qlik sense modules data todecide production gaps.
  • Qualifications

  • College / technical desirable
  • PreviousLead / Personnel experience
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Ability to solve problems
  • A minimum of 1 years of technical experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint and schematic drawings and interpret technical manualsis desirable
  • Capable of lifting45 pounds
