- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of corporate tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review operational processes to ensure adherence to local statutes and regulations.
- Propose and implement policies and procedures to streamline tax information collection.
- Manage documentation throughout the accounting cycle, culminating in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Verify the accuracy of records and documents related to tax reporting and preparation.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors and regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax codes and accounting laws.
- Conduct research on tax compliance issues at local and national levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA certification preferred.
- Proven track record as a tax specialist or analyst with experience managing extensive volumes of accounting paperwork for a corporation or large organization.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting methods, tax laws, audits and relevant accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective planning and priority-setting skills, managing multiple projects under pressure.
