Production Engineering - Controls & IoT Engineer

At TMH Production Engineering, we lead the way in preparing new manufacturing processes, supporting production activities, and improving safety, quality, and productivity. We are on a mission to reduce downtime and environmental impact while staying competitive in the labor market and enhancing production capacity. Our team is growing rapidly to meet our ambitious goals, and we are looking for full-time members to join us. Our manufacturing facility covers a wide range of processes, from laser cutting and CNC machining to welding, painting, assembly, and more.

About Us

TMH Manufacturing Department is at the core of our operations, and our associates are our top priority. We provide support for various needs, from daily assistance to process improvements and safety enhancements. As part of the Production Engineering Department, our controls and systems engineers play a crucial role in supporting projects across the board. We also offer technical expertise company-wide to help fulfill our mission of 'Helping People Carry the Load'.

Responsibilities

Support daily production activities and maintenance technicians by addressing industrial controls issues
Improve systems and data utilization to boost company KPIs
Act as an IT liaison to ensure smooth coordination of activities related to systems architecture
Assist in capital investment projects by ensuring control specifications meet standards

General Requirements

Possess strong technical skills and troubleshooting abilities
Demonstrate commitment, resourcefulness, and the capacity to handle multiple projects
Ability to collaborate professionally across all organizational levels
Hold a 4-year degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

Job Specific Skills/Experience

A successful Controls Engineer must have experience with industrial control systems, network understanding, PLC programming, and a willingness to adapt to new technologies. They should be proactive in addressing production issues and capable of justifying capital investments. Additionally, familiarity with programming languages and technologies is a plus.

This position reports to the Controls Production Engineering Manager and involves collaboration with a team of experienced engineers in various plant processes.
