    Job DescriptionThe Director of Revenue, Assistant Controller will be the principal revenue accounting leader for the business and ultimately own the evaluation and accounting treatment for all standard and non-standard transactions.


    Responsibilities:


    Lead and document the technical review of all customer contracts on a timely basis and in accordance with our established polices.

    Collaborate with the commercial and sales team to provide insight and recommendations on proposed sales transactions and impact of non-standard items.

    Assess costs of sales and perform a detailed gross margin analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.

    Maintain and enhance procedures to ensure incremental revenue is recorded in conjunction with the related cogs to preserve line of sight on margins.

    Support the shared services unit on managing accounts receivable and collection efforts and help lead weekly AR touch points with finance management.

    Be the primary external audit contact and liaison for revenue items on the Company's quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits.

    Participate in the analytical review process and draft flux and variances responses (comparisons to plan and prior periods) for dedicated accounts.

    Ensure that all revenue and various operational processes are in compliance with SOX 404b and further help us establish and maintain a rigorous control environment.

    Review dedicated balance sheet reconciliations (AR, Unbilled Receivables, Deferred Revenue and COGS, etc) and work with the team to alleviate and resolve discrepancies and inconsistencies on a timely basis.

    Management of two direct reports (senior accounting manager and a staff accountant)


    Minimum Requirements:6+ years of experience- some Big 4 experience preferredPublic company experienceA Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalentCPAQualifications:Thorough understanding of ASC 606 & COGS accounting (margin focus)Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAPUnderstanding and experience with researching accounting standardsKnowledge of Sarbanes Oxley / internal control frameworksOutstanding oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyNetSuite, Salesforce and Workiva experience a plus.
