    Senior Accountant

    The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions, including but not limited to:

    Accounts Payable:
    • Overseeing the AP processes including processing invoices, reconciling AP to the GL, vendor management, expense report management, and 1099 management.
    Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist in the preparation of internal management reports and presentations.
    General Ledger Management:
    • Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
    • Review and analyze balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
    Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
    • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing explanations and recommendations as needed.
    Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and other tax-related documents.
    • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry.
    • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
    Internal Controls:
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Perform periodic internal audits to assess control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary support and documentation.
    Special Projects:
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
    • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industry.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
