- Support the Service Manager and Parts Manager in controlling the level of tire spends in the shop.
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting systems. (ABS)
- Maintains vehicle appearance by documenting missing parts, damage, and uncleanliness.
- Maintains vehicle records by annually performing services and repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
- Use computer programs for diagnosing.
- Clock in and out of work orders.
- Prefer experience in TMT operating system.
- Ability to multi-task
- Solid analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 or more years of experience in the Diesel Maintenance Field
