Trailer Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Service Manager and Parts Manager in controlling the level of tire spends in the shop.
• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting systems. (ABS)
• Maintains vehicle appearance by documenting missing parts, damage, and uncleanliness.
• Maintains vehicle records by annually performing services and repairs.
• Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
• Use computer programs for diagnosing.
• Clock in and out of work orders.

Trailer Technician Experience and Skills:

• Prefer experience in TMT operating system.
• Ability to multi-task
• Solid analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 or more years of experience in the Diesel Maintenance Field
