The role of Commercial Sales Representative is to sell Townsend products and services to large pro-channel customers for commercial projects outside of the retail store setting.
This is a salary + commission position and starting base salary will depend on experience.

**This position plays a key role in assuring profitability and general success of the Commercial Sales department. As such, major elements of this role include:**
Build and maintain relationships with customers by promoting the Companys Mission, Vision, and Values at all times. This includes providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the needs of customers are consistently met in a timely and efficient manner.
Developing and maintaining knowledge of the building industry in the area serviced by the store location as well as state of the art product knowledge in the building materials industry.
Working with customers to identify and provide solutions to their product needs while ensuring that the customer receives best in class service in every respect.
Working with management to regularly research data and trends to ensure market competitiveness.
Working with all levels within the company to identify, analyze, and solve problems that affect profitability and customer relations within the assigned area, and develop and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
Setting and achieving challenging sales goals.
Working in the community to assure a professional image for Townsend.
All other duties as assigned.
**Specific Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To:**
High school diploma or equivalency; College degree a plus.
At least 5 years experience in the building materials industry preferred.
Proven success in outside sales.
Knowledge of building materials and the building materials industry.
Knowledge of building industry in the specified area.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Computer literacy and knowledge of current office technology.
Ability to find, develop, and maintain effective customer relationships.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Personal integrity.
Strong interpersonal skills.
