    System Test Engineer
    Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
    Night Shift (17h00/18h00 to 01h00/02h00 for now)

    Job Description

    We are looking for a Systems Test Engineer to support the test operation of integrated test assets during the night and weekend shifts.

    You will be responsible for the configuration management of the test hardware/software and test asset equipment, run diagnostics, and help troubleshoot integration issues.

    You will assist test operators in getting all the required preparation for conducting the test.

    In order to accelerate our schedule, we are running tests around the clock with different teams across the globe.

    You will be the onsite support to various test teams working on our component and system Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL), including our Iron Bird test asset.

    The successful candidate will be proactive, work autonomously, hands-on, and eager to solve problems.
    Work with various test teams (including remote) to set up and troubleshoot issues on various integrated test assets.
    Create & maintain step-by-step operation & training material.
    Document configuration changes and test activities in the log book.
    Log deficiencies and participate in the resolution and disposition activities.
    Configure hardware, software and simulation on different HIL test stations per the test team request.
    Maintain HIL test stations, operation manuals, configuration management and calibration logs.
    Load software and firmware update on aircraft equipment and avionics systems.
    Setup and configure Linux and Windows computers (BIOS, install software).
    Diagnose issues on the HILs, whether they are hardware or software related.
    Organize the HIL lab, implement inventory and tool control.
    Coordinate routine maintenance on the HIL test stations.

    Skills and Qualifications
    B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, or related engineering degree
    3+ years of relevant work experience
    Excellent Python and/or C software scripting skills.
    Proficient with Linux and Windows operating systems.
    Experience with Serial Protocols (RS485, RS422), Ethernet and networking.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Experience setting up and working in a Lab environment
    Proficient with National Instrument (NI) hardware and software (Veristand, Labview, PXI)
    Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in analog and/or power electronics design
    Experience interpreting PCB Schematics, Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and component datasheets
    Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters as well as tools such as CANalyzer and bus analyzer.
