    Description
    Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate to assemble automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor
    Responsbile for applying powder coat paint to surface of parts and components, removing media from components after shot blast process, and hanging parts and components to the paint line.

    o Assemble automotive lifts and components/accessories
    o Place components on paint line
    o Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with emphasis on safety
    o Suggest and assist in process improvements which assures quality, efficiency, and safety is built into the process
    o Assist in fabrication processes as needed

  • Apply powder coat paint to product with electrostatic spray gun.

  • Clean, maintain and prepare booth and powder coating equipment, clean room, floor, equipment.

  • Remove media from components after shot blast process.

  • Hang and remove parts and components on paint line.

  • Other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor.

    o An understanding and ability to use assembly tools
    o Capable of reading a tape measure
    o Understanding of blueprint reading
    o Excellent communication skills
    Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
    o Strong understanding of process interaction
    o Strong problem solving skills
    o Understanding of general manufacturing
    o Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day
    o Must be able to periodically lift up to 45 pounds

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness and neatness and be detailed oriented.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner.

  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and be a self starter.

  • Able to work overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to work as a team player
