- Identify cost savings opportunities as it relates to transportation and warehousing.
- Negotiate spot pricing and coordinate shipments requiring expedited service in-transit and other special expedites based upon cost and customer requirements.
- Collaborates on the preparation of routing guides for shipping locations based upon Corporate Logistics contracts, cost and carrier performance.
- Identify freight claims against carriers and warehouses for losses, damages, product overages, or shortages. Will work within Logistics team to escalate issues.
- Provides basic guidance to AFNA plant logistics regarding best practices and updated procedures
- Follow standard processes for logistics and monitor for compliance
- Execute basic logistic tasks to support AFNA plants, 3PLs, and international shipments. This includes BOL processing and reconciliations comparisons.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to details
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and frequently changing priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Computer literate (MS Excel and Work) Ability to type & enter data
- Knowledge of International rules/regulations, and laws
- Must possess Problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Must possess written and verbal communication skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and equivalent business-related work experience
- Experience: 0-2 years directly related experience working with supply chain related activities in logistics, production control, inventory management, warehousing, preferably in a manufacturing environment with the associated process and data requirements
- Knowledge of or ability to learn federal transportation rules and regulations, DOT rules and other shipping regulations

Job Description
Responsible for facilitating ongoing logistics execution functions, in a manner consistent with the Company's standard processes and procedures. Directly responsible for inventory accuracy, customer returns and materials management at the operating site.
